Dawn Campbell also came to France in 2004 after 20 years in the UK. Her wide ranging business expertise made her the ideal choice for establishing CSF’s latest regional office. With voluntary experience at the Samaritans both as an active listener and a Press Officer, Dawn will focus on PR and facilitating this new team to deliver a great service in the Mayenne. A life long veggie, Dawn now concentrates on Health Coaching and writing.

Ann Clark came to France in 2004 from the UK and loves the lifestyle. With a background in voluntary work that has spanned more than 30 years, Ann has been supporting the church and her local community with the Women's Institute. Also, having survived breast cancer, she has a shared experience with other cancer patients. This first hand knowledge of what it is like to go through such distressing times will prove invaluable in supporting others on their journey to recovery. With Ann's vast background of the voluntary sector, she is able to deputise for the rest of the team who are also looking forward to learning about fundraising amongst other things from her.

Shirley Gamaroff, and I am an Israeli and ex-South African. I worked in the computer industry for about 35 years before coming to France to join the “love of my life” four years ago. I have had cancer twice (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) but fortunately for good doctors and advances in medicine, I am healthy and happy, and ready to put my experience to good use by being an active listener and helping others. Recently I joined the new Mayenne branch and have already had the benefit of active listening training and am also the teams secretary.

Lisa Mertel came to France from the US in 2005 and became actively involved with Cancer Support France – Mayenne in April 2007. With a background as a professional librarian, Lisa has various administrative skills and interests which meant she was ideally suited to be the team’s Secretary. Lisa is currently teaching English to French students and in applying for our Association membership, her language skills have already proved invaluable, so much so that our paperwork was successfully returned within the week.

Diane Bushell came to France from the UK in 2006 shortly after finishing her treatment for ovarian cancer. With a career as a Company Secretary for various international blue chip companies, she has experience in legal, intellectual property, risk management and investor relations matters. She has a psychology degree and an MBA. She currently spends her time as a volunteer English teacher, member of the local Telethon committee, chorister in the local choir and perfecting her French. As a supporter of Cancerbackup in the UK, she is now looking forward to assisting CSF in any way she can.
