Our group was established on 16th. December 2005. We have 12 team members including 4 who are fluent in French. Part of our objective is to have fun so in November 2006 we formed our line dance group "Boisme Boots". Sessions are held in the Salle Polyvalente at Boisme every Tuesday afternoon 2.00pm to 4.00pm, cost is 3 euro per session. Proceeds go to Cancer Support Deux-Sèvres.

Through the good offices of John and Maureen Whatmore who host this enterprise the 22nd June saw the opening of Good as New Clothes & Accessories with all proceeds going to Cancer Support Deux-Sèvres.  As can be seen in the photographs the opening day was very busy and interest has remained high ever since. With plenty of high quality stock arriving on a regular basis and a good turnaround there is always a good selection to be viewed.   Maureen and John live at Geay which is halfway between Bressuire and Thouars, are open Monday and Wednesday afternoons and all day Saturday.  They can be contacted on 05 49 96 22 92.

Thé Dansant (Tea Dance) at Boisme 14th. October for October Rose Ameona

On the 14th. October our team in Deux-Sèvres supported Amoena France and the international month for Breast Cancer Prevention by holding a Thé Dansant at Boismé.

Candles and pins were for sale and everyone enjoyed the Fashion Show organised by Mrs Maureen Whatmore with the models wearing clothes from her Good As New collection.

The number of people attending the event was not as many as hoped.  We think this was due to the fine weather and a large local fair and market taking place the same day.

On a positive side there were as many French as ex-pats who enjoyed the afternoon including the mayor and we have been asked to repeat the occasion next year.
