Vienne (86) Open Door - 18 rue Pierre Prestereau, 86400 Civray.  This is a drop in centre, providing support for people suffering from the effects of long term illness as well as for their carers.  Iu is open to English and French.  There is also a library of English books.  Opening hours: Wednesday 10h00 - 12h00; Library Wednesday 14h00 - 17h00; Friday 10h00 - 12h00.   Open Door PALS Support Network - (Bereavement, family Crises, Addiction and Isolation) 24 hour.  Answerphone service 05 49 87 97 36

Cancer Support Deux-Sèvres Group organise Line Dance classes at Boisme every Tuesday.
These classes are very popular, helping people to have fun and  keep fit.  All the profits go to Cancer Support.  If you want to join or just to come along contact Avril Andrews, e-mail avrilandrews@hotmail.com     
This is the bar at St. Juniena Golf Course preparing for the Quiz Night held on Friday 9th. March.  Nearly one hundred people took part - or tried to!  The evening was organised by Paul Martin and his team, and began with a meal for those who wanted it. Eight rounds of
diverse questions sorted the masterminds from the rest of us, and we were kept amused by Paul’s conversations with his computer (when it refused to cooperate).

After expenses have been met, the evening is expected to have yielded about 850€ for Association funds
